Pablo Cabrera, Esq.


Attorney Pablo Cabrera was born in the city of Arecibo, in the North Coast of Puerto Rico. He is married and has two children.


Mr. Cabrera pursued a Bachelor Degree in Economics from the University of Puerto Rico, graduating Cum Laude in 1991. He was admitted to the University of Puerto Rico Law School, from which he graduated in 1994.  Cabrera passed the Puerto Rico Bar Examination in 1994, being in the top 2% of all applicants for examination that year.


In the earlier years of his professional career, Attorney Cabrera was very involved with the Puerto Rico Bar Association, being appointed to the Committee for the Evaluation of Judicial Appointees and to the Board of Trustees for the Puerto Rico Notary Bond Fund.  After his first employment as a lawyer for Puerto Rico Public Defender Office (Sociedad Para Asistencia Legal), he focused on Civil Litigation, Torts and Liability Insurance Litigation, Corporations and Contracts Law.


After devoting his first 5 years of experience to that practice, Attorney Cabrera devoted himself mainly to the practice of Immigration Law since the year 2000.  Due to his experience with corporate clients and institutions, he was in charge of the business and employment petitions for his law firm until 2003, when he decide to implement his professional vision in an independent law practice.  The concept of providing clients direct service and knowledgeable, cost-efficient legal solutions has made himself and Cabrera & Associates a respected and well known name in the Orlando, FL area and in the Immigration Law field in general.


Pablo Cabrera is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA).

Attorney Cabrera has written articles regarding immigration law matters for newspapers in Puerto Rico and the United States, as well as serving as guest commentator for Noticias Univisión 26 Orlando, and for different TV and radio shows.  He also serves as guest speaker in immigration law matters in forums and town hall meetings across the southeastern United States.


Jeannette Alicea-Cabrera, Esq.


Attorney Jeannette Alicea-Cabrera was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico where she grew up.  She is married and has two children.


Attorney Alicea-Cabrera earned her Bachelor Degree in Social Sciences with a Major in Psychology from the University of Puerto Rico in 1991, where she graduated Cum Laude.  Her Juris Doctor Degree is from the University of Puerto Rico School of Law, where she graduated in 1994.   She is admitted to the Puerto Rico Bar since 1996. She has been practicing Administrative Law for over 20 years.


The first part of Alicea-Cabrera’s career was as an attorney in the Department of Education of Puerto Rico, where she handled disciplinary procedures as an administrative prosecutor and legal counselor.  She also was a member of the Bid Board for the construction of Public Schools.  She represented the Department before the Puerto Rico State Legislature in many occasions and assisted in the drafting of regulations and policies that still in place today.


After a short sabbatical  to take care of her growing family, In 2003 she co-founded Cabrera & Associates, Immigration Attorneys and has devoted herself to handling immigration cases and managing the business side of the practice.  


Attorney Alicea-Cabrera concentrates in PERM Labor Certification procedures for our foreign clients.  She is also very active in her defense of victims of domestic violence, and has assisted  many women (and men) in getting out of abusive situations.  She has vast experience as an immigration attorney handling cases both  before the USCIS and Immigration Court handling cases under the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA), as well as other special legislation such as T and U Visas, Asylum and Withholding of Removal.
